My landscape paintings explore my interest in hierarchical complexity and emergent aesthetics, depicting intricate, imagined terrains from a top-down perspective—positioning the viewer as an outsider, observing the environment from above.

Working in multiple layers, I build forms, structure terrains, and develop textures to examine the interplay of natural forces—geology, hydrology, weather, and energy—and how they shape and transform the landscape. I am particularly fascinated by how these elements interact to create self-organizing patterns, where textural contrasts between clouds, water, rock, and forest form sculptural, three-dimensional topographies.

Each painting becomes a study of landscape evolution, with compositions emerging organically as I imagine these forces at play. By exploring the intricate relationships between these elements, I hope to capture the dynamic nature of the world.
